Welcome to Hill’s Lodge
Hill’s Lodge is a family-run property, alongside Rhiwiau Guesthouse at Rhiwiau Isaf, Llanfairfechan. Nestled in the hills on the outskirts of the village, we offer a peaceful countryside retreat with stunning views and easy access to everything North Wales has to offer.
We’re just 5 minutes from the A55, perfectly situated along the North Wales coast between Bangor and Llandudno. Surrounded by working farmland, you’ll often see sheep and cows grazing as part of the beautiful scenery.
Guests are welcome to explore our private woodland, which leads directly into Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and up to the historic Roman Road. For keen walkers, the trails continue towards the spectacular Aber Falls and even on to the stunning Ogwen Valley.
If you prefer a gentler stroll, there are lovely walks down into Llanfairfechan village and along the beach—just remember, the walk back up is a little steeper!
Our name, Hill’s Lodge, has a special meaning. It reflects both our hillside location and our family history. Our ancestors, whose surname was Hill, discovered Rhiwiau and made it their home many generations ago, making this a place that has been in our family’s story for years.
There is so much to see and do in this beautiful part of North Wales. With the A55 just minutes away, you’ll have easy access to historic castles, breathtaking lakes, Zip World adventures, charming towns, sandy beaches, and the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. Whether you’re looking for adventure, scenic walks, or simply a relaxing escape, Hill’s Lodge is the perfect base to explore it all.
We look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy your stay.
